New Delhi: Following allegations of irregularities in transfers and corruption within the PWD division of Uttar Pradesh, PWD Minister Jitin Prasada’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Anil Kumar Pandey has been transferred whereas 5 others have been suspended from their posts.

According to a report in India Today, vigilance inquiry and departmental motion has been beneficial in opposition to Pandey, within the wake of a number of complaints lodged in opposition to the transfers of engineers of the PWD division and docs of the well being division.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had on 12 July requested officers to submit a report on the difficulty after taking cognizance of complaints of irregularities in transfers within the PWD. The report was submitted on 16 July.

“Based on the recommendation of the probe report, action was taken,” a authorities spokesperson stated.

As many as 5 officers, together with the Public Works Department (PWD) Head & Chief Engineer Manoj Gupta, have been suspended after motion was taken in opposition to Pandey on 18 July.
