SpiceJet flights held up at Delhi airport over fee points: Report

SpiceJet has to make each day funds to Airports Authority of India because it has been placed on ‘cash and carry’ foundation after the airline didn’t clear its dues. 

Passengers of SpiceJet flights on Friday took to social media to complain how their flights at Delhi airport have been delayed, whereas the airline clarified that there was a delay of their each day fee to the Airports Authority of India. The glitch was fastened and the operation grew to become regular, a SpiceJet spokesperson confirmed to information company PTI.

“Due to a technical glitch in SAP, the automatic daily payment could not be processed. The same is being made manually to AAI which has been apprised of the issue. SpiceJet’s flight operations are now continuing normally,” the spokesperson stated.

SpiceJet has to make each day funds to the AAI to function flights after the airline was placed on a “cash and carry” foundation by the authorities because it had didn’t clear its earlier dues.

Addressing the grievance of a passenger ready on a delayed flight, the airline stated the delay was on account of operational causes.
