NEW DELHI: Lauding the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Swachh Bharat Mission, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday stated he has labored in direction of fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clear India.
Addressing a press convention for the celebration’s Samajik Nyay Pakhwada (social justice marketing campaign), celebration spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia elaborated on the success of the open defecation free (ODF) marketing campaign, below which over 58,000 villages and three,300 cities have benefitted.
He stated that the mission is now transferring in direction of its subsequent section – ODF-Plus – below which a village ensures open defecation free practices are sustained, stable and liquid waste is managed, and the realm is clear.

He famous that ₹7,192 crore has been allotted on this 12 months’s funds for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), and ₹1,41,678 crore can be spent on the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) from 2021-2026.
PM Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on the 145th beginning anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2014, as a way to speed up the efforts of attaining common sanitation throughout the nation.
