Guwahati: A 65-year-old man was trampled to loss of life by a wild elephant in Palashbari vary, 27 km west from Guwahati, late on Saturday night time. The deceased has been recognized as Anil Boro, a resident of Pirpara village below Palashbari vary in Kamrup district.
Jiten Das, deputy ranger of the Palashbari forest vary, informed TOI: “Family members said the elephant dragged the man from the courtyard of the house and killed him on the street around 10.30 pm on Saturday. A forest team reached the spot soon after receiving the information.
