The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for questioning for the fourth time on Friday within the National Herald cash laundering case, officers mentioned Wednesday.

His questioning lasted for practically 9 hours.

They mentioned the Congress MP sought exemption for Thursday which was allowed.

Gandhi (51) arrived on the ED headquarters on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in central Delhi round 11.35 am along with his “Z+” class CRPF safety escort.

He was accompanied by his sister and Congress basic secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as his convoy whizzed previous police barricades thronged by media individuals and celebration supporters.

Meanwhile, the Congress celebration on Wednesday mentioned that the Delhi Police entered its headquarters and detained its staff.

The celebration and its leaders shared movies exhibiting police personnel on the Congress HQ in Delhi.

Sharing one such video, Congress chief Karti Chidambaram mentioned that the Delhi Police “was behaving like the private militia of BJP.”

However, the Delhi Police have denied getting into the Congress HQ.

“Many people threw barricades at police near the AICC office, so there might’ve been a scrimmage. But police didn’t go inside the AICC office and use lathi charge. Police are not using any force. We will appeal to them to coordinate with us,” ANI quoted Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Sagar Preet Hooda as saying.

Congress chief Sachin Pilot, detained by police amid protests over Rahul Gandhi’s questioning by the Enforcement Directorate, mentioned on Wednesday that the federal government is “arrogant” and asserted that “police brutality” won’t yield outcomes because the celebration was steadfast in its resolve to reveal makes an attempt to intimidate the Opposition.

The former Rajasthan deputy chief minister mentioned he was getting into the AICC headquarters right here together with some leaders once they had been “shoved into a bus” and brought to Narela police station.
