DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — At least three folks had been killed by an earthquake in southern Iran early Saturday morning, state tv reported.
“Unfortunately up to now we have had three deaths and eight wounded,” Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, the top of emergency administration for Hormozgan Province on Iran’s Persian Gulf coast, stated within the report.
Iranian media stated the quake had a magnitude of 6.1, whereas the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center put it at 6.0. The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, or simply over six miles, the European monitoring group stated. Tremors had been felt in Dubai within the United Arab Emirates.
