India to go to Australia early for extra match apply earlier than T20 World Cup

The Indian staff will journey to Australia per week previous to their proposed schedule for the T20 World Cup for acclimatisation and match apply. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has determined to ship the total T20 squad, internet bowlers and standbyes after the staff performs its third T20 International in opposition to South Africa in Indore on October 4.

The Board, after session with head coach Rahul Dravid, has determined to present extra match apply to its gamers earlier than they open their World Cup marketing campaign in opposition to Pakistan in Melbourne on October 23.

“We are in talks with a few teams who will play games with us besides warm-up games kept by ICC. The entire T20 World Cup squad will travel to Australia on October 5 along with Dravid and his support staff. The Indian team which will play ODIs here against South Africa will be a second-string side coached by VVS Laxman,” a BCCI official stated.

Dhawan more likely to lead Indian staff in ODIs

Opener Shikhar Dhawan is more likely to lead the second-string Indian staff within the ODIs in opposition to South Africa. The help workers of the India A staff shall be requested to work with the Indian senior staff for the ODIs.

The Indian staff will play three ODIs – in Indore on October 6, Ranchi on October 9, and Delhi on October 11.
