Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday expressd shock that candidates have alleged a delay in decalartion of outcomes only one and half months after the written exmaintions have been performed.
“This is unprecdented and I have ordered home commissioner to probe why this has happened,” Sarma mentioned.
He mentioned, “Certificates of the candidates are being verified as we have detected a few fake certificates. The process takes time. The candidates took to the streets demanding immediate declaration of the results. This has raised a doubt if the candidates somehow got their results before declaration. If yes, then it must be leaked, or any unfair means must be adopted between candidates and somebody in the system for the jobs. Therefore, I have ordered a probe to find out the reason why they have staged protests with such demand,” Sarma mentioned.
He added, “I have asked the police department to verify if the protesting candidates have cleared the written exam or not. It is fine if they have not cleared the exam and protested for jobs. But the reason must be found out if they have cleared the exam and staged a protest demanding declaration of the results.”
