Bengaluru to be India’s 1st metropolis to fully vaccinate all residents: Minister


Karnataka Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr.Okay.Sudhakar on Monday knowledgeable that the federal government is aiming to make Bengaluru the primary metropolis in India to fully vaccinate all its eligible residents.

The authorities has set a goal to vaccinate 10 lakh individuals beneath a particular Vaccination Drive which will likely be carried out each Wednesday within the state.

“The government’s aim is to fully vaccinate the entire eligible population by the end of December”, stated Sudhakar.

The minister stated the Centre has offered 1.10 crore vaccines in August. Sudhakar added, this provide has elevated after Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and he had a dialogue with the middle.

“We want to vaccinate 5 lakh people every day from now onwards. On Wednesday during a special vaccination drive, the target is to vaccinate at least 10 lakh people. This will ensure 1.5 to 2 crore doses in one month”, he stated.

While addressing to media, Sudhakar stated that 4 crore vaccination has been accomplished in all the state together with 1 crore in ‘The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits.
