Dibrugarh: A suspected improvised explosive gadget (IED) was recovered on the Digboi-Pengeri Road in higher Assam’s Tinsukia district on Saturday. The suspected bomb, weighing round 5 kg and fitted with wire, swap and a circuit, was planted alongside the Digboi Pengeri Road.
A neighborhood youth discovered the suspected object wrapped in polythene sheets close to the Bhimpathar Tinali within the morning. The Army crew sanitised the realm, whereas the bomb disposal squad was summoned from the Dinjan army station in Dibrugarh.
