GUWAHATI: Assam National Register of Citizens (NRC) authority on Friday filed an FIR in opposition to former NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela.
The FIR states that Hajela’s act could be seen as “anti-national affecting national security”.
Hajela — who led the updating of the controversial doc — has been charged with “intentionally avoiding quality check of data that may have facilitated inclusion of ineligible names in the NRC”.
