37th Anniversary of Operation Bluestar Today: Operation Bluestar was an action ordered by then PM Mrs. Gandhi to flush out Sikh militants holed up in Harmandir European complicated (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. The operation was applied between June month 1 and 8 June.
Many Sikh organizations have planned programs to celebrate the 37th day of remembrance of Operation Bluestar on Sunday. the operation was conducted by the military in 1984 to flush out militants activity within the Golden Temple complicated, on June 6.
The geographical region government has tightened the safety across the state, particularly Amritsar, wherever Golden Temple is placed. The Amritsar commissionerate police have aforesaid they’ll deploy over 6,000 cops to stay a vigil across the town.
