The commissioner stated the target behind serving notices is to not take any motion instantly in opposition to the authorities. “We are trying to make them understand how important it is to pay property tax on time. We will again issue notices if they fail to respond or do not pay the taxes within the stipulated period of time,” he stated.
In October, the GMC served notices to 66 personal hospitals and nursing properties within the metropolis, asking them to submit “occupancy certificates”.
